Volunteer Agreement
This Volunteer Agreement is effective on the date it is signed between Eden Share, Inc. and the Volunteer named below and expires on the last day of the calendar year. This agreement must be completed annually.
The Volunteer is willing to donate their time and services to Eden Share, Inc., and in turn, the organization is willing to accept such time and service by the Volunteer.
In consideration of the above, the parties hereby agree to the following terms and conditions:
Services
The volunteer can provide the following services and may also provide other services the organization may not have listed here. Some of the services may include:
Assisting with weeding garden beds and paths.
Planting plants and seeds.
Watering beds and borders.
Mulching and preparing beds for planting.
Harvesting vegetables and flowers when directed.
Light maintenance tasks like garbage clean up, cleaning and organizing tools, washing root vegetables, and bringing donated produce to share with pantry, kitchen, or at community events.
Assisting with any special events for the community.
Wages
The volunteer understands the services provided will be a donation and under no circumstances will expect wages, salary, or benefits from the organization for the services provided within this volunteer agreement.
Supervision
The Volunteer should report to Scott Pidgeon, or a designated Eden Share representative, on each day services are provided for instruction and guidance.
The Volunteer agrees to read and follow all garden rules that are posted in multiple locations within the garden, including the entrances and exits.
The Volunteer also agrees to abide by Eden Share’s Confidentiality Agreement and a copy has been attached to this agreement for signature/date.
Employment
The Volunteer understands they are under no circumstances considered an employee of the Organization. Furthermore, the Organization acknowledges the Volunteer is not an employee and may provide services at free will. The Volunteer will receive no employee benefits.
Liability
The Volunteer is duly aware of the risks and hazards that may arise through participation in the gardens and will assume any expenses and liabilities incurred in the event of an accident, illness or other incapacity. Furthermore, the Volunteer agrees to hold Eden Share, Inc. and Family Services, Inc. and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and volunteers harmless for any liability, injury, damage, loss, or claim that occurs in connection with their volunteer service.
Term
This volunteer agreement shall begin on the date this agreement is signed and will end on the last day of the calendar year.
Termination
Because the Volunteer is not an active employee, they may terminate this volunteer agreement at any time for any reason they deem necessary.
The Organization may also decline to accept the Volunteer’s time and may terminate this agreement without prior notification, at any time without cause.
Emergency
In the event of an emergency that involves the Volunteer during services, the following contact should be notified immediately.

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT
Confidentiality Policy for Employees, Volunteers and Board Members
Respecting the privacy of our clients, donors, members, staff, volunteers and any proprietary company information itself is a basic value of Eden Share Inc. Personal and financial information is confidential and should not be disclosed or discussed with anyone without permission or authorization. Care shall also be taken to ensure that unauthorized individuals do not overhear any discussion of confidential information and that documents containing confidential information are secured.
All personal and financial information concerning clients, former clients, our staff, volunteers, and financial data, and business records is considered confidential information. “Confidential” means that you are not permitted to disclose clients’ names or talk about them in ways that will make their identity known. No information may be released without appropriate authorization.
Employees, volunteers and board members of Eden Share may be exposed to information considered confidential, privileged or proprietary in nature. It is the policy of Eden Share that such information must be kept confidential both during and after employment or volunteer service. Staff and volunteers, including board members, are expected to return materials containing privileged or confidential information at the time of separation from employment or expiration of service.
Unauthorized disclosure of confidential or privileged information is a serious violation of this policy and will subject the person(s) who made the unauthorized disclosure to appropriate discipline, including removal/dismissal. This policy is not intended to prevent disclosure where Eden Share has authorized such disclosure or disclosure is required by law.
Certification
I have read Eden Share’s policy Non-disclosure of Information and Confidentiality Agreement presented above. I agree to abide by the requirements of the policy and inform Eden Share immediately if I believe any violation (unintentional or otherwise) has occurred. I understand that violation of this policy can lead to termination of my service or other legal ramifications.
